Happy Mother's Day
I couldn't let such an important day go by, with out mentioning the importance of Mothers. I rarely think Moms get the credit or thanks that they so deservingly need. My Mom has been a rock and constant in my life and has been there through good and bad, happy and sad, and has always had a listening ear to listen to me rant, brag, cry, laugh and share things with that I sometimes know that she wished I didn't. So, here's to you Mom. Thanks for everything you've taught me, shown me, and for all the advice, whether solicited or not, disregarded or taken, and always for being there with the unconditional love that only a Mom posseses.
Don't you just love these pictures -- I wish there were more moments like this and less moments of rushing, yelling, and the mundance chores that sometimes get in the way of the precious moments that go by too fast. You're listening to someone who is sending her baby to kindergarten this year. No one ever has to tell me that time flies, babies grow up too fast, and that the one thing you can't get back are those moments.
I've known many Moms in my life, and have learned from lots of you, I've taken what I thought I needed and tried my best to improve in my lacking motherly skills. This past year, after going back to work full time, I've had days of remorse, guilt, and a few screaming utter breakdowns. However, I do know one thing. I have five beautiful children who do come first and who I would lay down in front of a speeding train for. I try each day to do better than the day before and know that no matter what I do or how I do it, I'll never perfect the art of motherhood. All I can do is try to raise these kids the best I know how in this imperfect world, with my imperfect talents and knowledge and at the end of the day, know I've done whatever I could to make them feel as loved as I did by my own Mom.

I love you Mom, thank you and Happy Mother's Day from your oldest and most favorite daughter!

Roaring Red Tigers...
Megan's first year on a soccer team has been really fun to watch. Most of the girls on her team dance around and look at the clouds for much of the game, but once in a while they remember where they are and what the object of the game is. Megan has gotten better each week, so here are a few shots of the "Roaring Red Tigers" from this Saturday's game.........Friday, May 8
Spring Sports Dominate
Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive and kicking. Baseball and soccer season have begun, so my evenings are full. To add to the already full game schedule, Jordan is playing softball on a girl's league for the first time this year. SO...........from 5 to 9 pm from Mon to Thursday this is what I see--

Max got his first chance to pitch on Wednesday night and did really well. Connor is playing pitcher and third base again this year and the girls are having fun trying their new activities. I promise to bring the camera to the games this weekend and next week to post. I do love watching my kids play sports, but trying to get dinner cooked, kids fed, homework done, bathed and in bed on time has become a challenge to say the least. To top it off, Dave's work is sending him to North Dakota to work for the next four months or so. He'll be gone several weeks at a time, then home a week, so it looks like I'm losing my second taxi driver. We will miss him and I will be busier than ever! Life is good and I am grateful that we both still have jobs that are allowing us to keep up with our growing children, we are truly blessed.
