I decided to take Dave to Vegas for his 39th Birthday this year. It was both of our first visit to "sin city" and we had a blast.
We stayed at the MGM Grand for four nights, flew from Rock Springs to Salt Lake and then from Salt Lake to Vegas. On the way back we went through Denver, but it was nice to not have to drive far to get to an airport --FYI-- the planes coming in and out of Rock Springs are puddle jumpers and pretty tiny!
The first night we ate at Emeril's Famous Fish House which is inside the MGM, kind of ironic when just around the corner is McDonalds, but it was really good food and so fun. The next day we bought tickets on the Monorail and went down to the stratosphere where somehow I got talked into going on a ride called "the big shot", well the picture of me in the slide show will tell you exactly what I thought of that. We went to see Cirque Du Soleil's "O" at the Bellagio, and it was wonderful, but almost as wonderful was the fountains/light show outside the Bellagio set to Frank Senatra music. I really loved that. We also went to a dinner show called "Tournament of Kings" at the Ex Calibur where they do jousting and horse sword fighting stuff -- Kyle would have been in heaven. We layed by the pool and sat in the hot tub, relaxed and saw things that we've never seen before in our sheltered little lives! It was definitely a weekend to remember. Enjoy the pics -- especially the ride on the stratosphere - it's good for a laugh at my expense!

The cutest DUST BUNNY I've ever seen....
She was by far the cutest and best dancer of all the dust bunnies..... no prejudice required. In good old Rock Springs fashion, her name also made the paper!

Super Sensational Seven!
She was pretty excited and happy. She auditioned for her school play yesterday, and came home thrilled to have been cast in a part -- she's a dust bunny. It should be entertaining to say the least!

Christmas 2008
We had a quiet Christmas Eve and Day at home this year. Dave was off work both days, which was a treat. The kids got pretty spoiled, but I guess that's ok. We got lots of new electronics, including a Wii from Grandma and Grandpa Biron, which is really fun for all of us. Jordan and Connor got golf clubs, with hopes of doing lots of golfing with their Dad this spring and summer. We went to the movies on Christmas night and saw "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler. It was great, a really good family outing, for anyone thinking about it! We hope you all had great holidays as well and wish you a Happy New Year!
The boys anticipating opening their gifts -- Max looks pretty cheesey.
Megan with her "Bratz" and Kyle with his Lego Star Wars game.
Jordan with her new cell phone -- she was really surprised with this, and it has a full keyboard which means even faster text messaging - oh joy!
This is pretty much what the kids looked like for several hours after opening presents, so I guess they're all plugged in and I don't want to hear "I'm bored" for at least a day and a half!
