Connor started football practice this past Monday. He goes every night from 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Saturday mornings. It's still been so hot, even in the evenings, I've really felt sorry for him some nights.
When I was helping him get into his pads tonight, I had to laugh when I read what his t shirt said on the front. He's definitely built TOUGH, no matter how you slice it!
At the parents meeting when we talked with the coach, he looked at Connor and smiled, then turned to us and said "I'm sure glad he's on MY team!"
Isn't he cute?? Although he's tough, he's sure hot, sweaty and tired on the way home!

I'm just glad that I'm not the kid that he is about to tackle!! I think I would run away and not give him the chance. He looks great!
Keep up the good work Connor! I'm sure you'll do great.
You posted this entry about Connor on Ashton's birthday. I know if we lived by each other, they would still be good buddies. We still love to talk about Connor and the time that he was staying at my home, the kids had played and played and then I fixed a huge Italian dinner, Connor had pasta shock and fell asleep on the table. So funny! The kids all remember it.
Have a great football season!
Connor -- Just HOLD That Line!! Can't help but worry a little about you playing in full pads in this heat!
Good thing he was still wearing his padding during the drive home - something had to prop his head upright! :O)
